  • Life in the Check Out Station in the Grocery Store

Did you ever get in line at the check out station in a grocery store when the cashier tells you are in the wrong line? There is no one in line behind you. The cashier points to a sign above your head which reads: "15 items only" or "20 items only". Of course, your grocery cart is piled high with groceries. I believe it is fine to have a line for less than 5 or 10 items so one does not have to wait a long time. However, to tell someone you are in the wrong line and expect them to move is not a good idea. The cart filled with groceries will bring in a sale of $200 or more. If you turn away full grocery carts, how will you make money! Your profits will be down.
